First time trying this Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout...quite tasty.
A local BBS I found in the store today. Hadn't heard of them but only 15 miles down the road. Never had a stout with such a tart finish. It's like a chocolate covered cherry. Very different. Not quite decided on it yet.

Another victim of my Imperial kick: "Ashcroft" Barrel Aged Imperial Brown Ale from Black Market Brewing Co. Lighter bodied and ever so slightly sweeter than recent stouts, it still has the forward chocolate/coffee note with a touch of toastiness, with a fruit/berry undertone. The finish is dry and clean with a short lingering berry flavor. Not much of a head but I did give it a soft pour because, handlebar mustache. Goes well with my El Rico Habano. 9.8% ABV.
Some American Pale Ale on a hot humid night
