Temperatures dropped into the "chilly" range this weekend. It was the perfect time to make soup beans & ham, and some cornbread.
Very few things bring back fond memories more than bean soup. My father was a great cook and this was one of his specialties that friends and family had to have. Yours looks great!

Very good. High quality. From Iceland. Available as a seasonal offering from my grocer so keep your eyes open at your higher end grocery store. A nice mild lamb that's not overly gamey. Use a minimalist approach to seasoning. A little salt and pepper. You don't want to mask anything. Cook till just mid rare and it's money. Did a shoulder chop on the charcoal grill at 500 deg F for 5min tops per side and it will melt in your mouth.
