  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Just smoked one. Similar profile to the Tat reds, but a bit mellower. Like a "lite" version of the tat browns. Overall, a very nice smoke.

Had one yesterday, and man was it good!
My question, tho, is how rare is this cigar? Everywhere I've seen it's being referred to as a 'ghost cigar' or a 'secret cigar' or something along those lines, but I cannot find any specific information as to the production numbers. For example, the Frank will have 666 (I think?) boxes made, the Verocus had 50,000 sticks (again, I think) made, but all I can find on the Triunfadors is that they're just a small-batch cigar. Are they limited? Will they be gone once retailers sell their stock? I know of at least one (and that means at least two, because a couple shops/reps in the area are pretty close) local B&M that's getting some of these in. So I'm wondering if they're really that rare or if they just appear to be scarce because there was almost no information about these before they hit the market. Not trying to be rude or anything, but I am just a little confused. Pete seems to have us all by the balls with this one!!! There's a ton of hype over these sticks (they're damn good, but we are like a sewing circle over here!!!), but nowhere can I find anything saying that they're rare or hard-to-find or anything like that.
Just curious.

my understanding is that it was a limited release only to maintain the rights to the name. How limited that is i have no idea, but if i had to guess, i would think that production was just enought to maintain that name by law. I do know that as others have said, the line will be released as a full proudction stick, but the blend will be different than that of the lancero.

I'm pretty sure NHC has received 2 shipments of 25 boxes each, and they sold like hotcakes.

Hey there guys let me know if there is any interest in doing another buy. I would get in for 5 or 10 sticks. They look like good cigars so I will get on board.

Not only do they look good, but they taste good too.

I just ordered a box that is all spoken for on a split, but if there are 2 others that want a 5er, then i'll buy anothe rbox and split it up too.

If i do 2 boxes, i need to give up 8 5ers. 5 of them are already spoken for.

Donk makes 1, need 2 more. Bueller, bueller???

I've got one box for sure on order from NHC.

Let me know ASAP so i can get hold of Dan and make sure i get my goods.

Check his signature's link, mate.
The click-ness doesn't work, though; ye'll have to open it old-school. I just checked the site and it's got a blood load of Tats, though I saw no other brands.

By the way, BigEasy, when will ye get those Tat blacks?

If you live in Dallas, Cigar Shop and More in Addison and Garland had several boxes this morning. I picked one up. Wish it could have been more! Happy Shopping!

In an online posting on Cigar Aficianado online (I was taken there be a search, not a frequent visitor) it states that El Triunfador is just that, the ghost cigar. Pete refers to it as a by appointment cigar, as in you will be lucky to get one. It is being produced to maintain legal rights to the name. I have it on good authority that there were as few as 300 boxes produced. From Pete's mouth to my sources ears (according to him) It is a great smoke, bang to hype ratio is in check!
