Sounds like your humidor is really leaking air if a bowl of water is only bringing it up an additional 10%

Yea it won't stay steady at 68-70% if I just have the 1 pad an the puck it'll drop to 60%. If I put a bowl of distilled water it stays steady at 70 no problem

To where as a tupperware the size of yours or even slightly bigger, can function off 1 boveda....the boveda website advertises that for humidors, you supposedly need 2 packs for every 50 cigars.

Here is the statement:

"There is a simple formula to determine how may Boveda Packs you require.

You will need one Pack for the Humidor itself and then one pack for every 50 cigars of CAPACITY. So if you have a humidor that holds 40 cigars, use 2 packs. If your box holds 75 cigars, use 3 packs. 100 cigars, 3 packs. You get the picture."


So, according to this, for your 20 ct you may need 2 in there. I think you mentioned above that was your plan to buy 1 more, so hope that does the trick.

Otherwise, if that doesn't work, I would say that your desktop humi is either poorly made, or your hygro is off.

Yup. Ditch the humidor, go with a tupperware.
