Here you go @AlohaStyle . http://www.botl.org/threads/how-to-custom-paint-a-ronson-jetlite.79378/I like these man, good work. Do u have a "how to" thread on making these? I didnt see one. Would like to make some cuban ones.
Thanks bro.
I poked a couple nails into a box and just hung the parts upside down on the nails. It allowed me to get all sides in one go.Thanks bro.
So a stupid question... what do you actually do when painting them as to not smear or get any finger marks etc? Do you stand them up on newspaper and spray paint on, then let dry and get bottom? What exactly is your process?
A really great question @AlohaStyle . I tried a few methods with less than ideal results. Finally I just cut a wire coat hanger and bent it like you see below to secure the lighter case. It worked like a charm even if it is a bit red neck. Below are some pictures to help you get the idea. Last picture is with the primer coat of paint applied. As you can see, I strung the wires over my florescent lighting. Thanks bro.

Indeed! This one is amazing! That red really sets it off! Damn good job brother. I keep saying that I am going to do that to mine but just never get around to it.
PM inbound@boltman so can we commission pieces from you? are you selling the ones you've made? I love things that are made by the brothers here and would love to get my hands on a lighter from you. I've got a few ideas in mind ....
I'd be interested in one as well. I'm not sure I'll ever get around to doing one myself.@boltman so can we commission pieces from you? are you selling the ones you've made?
