So after bunching, you put bunches into the box and give it a pressure, then we got box-pressed cigars?
I will pull the divider out of the box and put slightly under filled 54 RG finished sticks in and, press it flat between two flat surfaces. Hardness of the pressing is determined by the amount of time left to press.

Hello BOTL,
been lurking and figured I would give the home rolling a try. I thought you guys may want to see a newbie's progress with the help of watching videos and reading posts here on the forum which has been a tremendous help.
Here is the humi and some of my favorite factory smokes which is the flavor I was hoping to find in my home roll : 20170206_200422.jpg 20160206_111528.jpg

I started back in March with a couple of blend kits from WLT20170322_190021.jpg and started with the terroso profundo. Here are the first 2 I rolled with no mold or paper strips :

the flavor was great but the draw was horribly loose. Was using book style binding. Still nubbed it with the horrible draw :20170322_195349.jpg

Since I was so impressed with the flavor I kept going and this time used paper strips as a mold :20170325_104209.jpg

still book binding and getting inconsistent draw

at this point I was getting frustrated with the draw so I switched to entubado style bunching and had an immediate improvement in draw, burn, and amount of smoke produced.
I also started to color code my blends with the gold blend being 1 part criollo 98 ligero, 1 corojo viso, 2 piloto cubano seco, double dom binder, HB2K wrapper :

here was the next batch made for purple blend of 1 criollo 98 ligero, 1 dom seco, 1 corjo viso, HB2K wrapper, single Sumatra binder.
I also switched to honey instead of cigar glue and loved the result in terms of flavor. Much harder to work with since it's messier 20170417_232038.jpg but my primary goal is always flavor so it stuck (pun intended).

at this point I was getting great draw and consistency due to the switch to entubado and was confident enough to start sharing. This turned out to be a mistake as my friends liked them so much they wanted to start placing "orders".
Of course I said no as I can't sell them and it is already too time consuming. However, I did make a batch (gold blend) as a birthday present for my buddy to take on a trip to Croatia :

and here is the last batch just 6 months after I started. Still can't cap worth a damn but am getting a great smoking stick. I actually prefer to just tie in a pig tail since I just cut off anyways.
This is my red blend - 2 mata fina, 1 criolla 98 ligero, 1 dom seco, double Sumatra binder, HB2K wrapper :

Thanks to all on this site posting videos and pointers as I would never have been able to start rolling with out them.
