Ok don't shoot me, the PDR Obsidian was unexpectedly well balanced and complex enough to more than justify it's cost. I had the 4.5x60 and was completely and happily surprised. Looking into a box of these.

Why would we shoot you for liking a cigar, LOL? I haven't had one of the Obsidians yet, but I do keep hearing good things.

Ramon Bueso Genesis the Project. Its a CI hype stick... I figured it would suck, but it's not all hype, it's quite good!

Indian Tabac Maduro. Aged in the humidor 7 or 8 months. After a good old Chicago beef sandwich for lunch, that cigar is awesome. I always seem to pick them up in cheapo samplers.

I'll have to take another look at this thread when I buy again. If anything I've been surprised lately by how unimpressive many hyped sticks have been.

Cain Daytona for me. I wasn't a fan of the Cain OR or the Cain F (aside from the lancero), but I find I really enjoy the Daytona in the smallest vitola it comes in. I think its either a corona or petite corona. And they can be had for right @ 4 bucks a stick!

You and me both, I've bought a lot of let downs lately.

I've been going to CC's more and more lately, which seem to give me what I'm looking for. Just smoked another $15 NC that was so-so, and I'm getting sick of it.

Smoked a Soledad robusto (A Famous brand I think) and it was insanely good for a mild/cheap cigar! It must of had some decent age on it bc the cello was browning. Have a few more without dark cellos that I should compare to.

Also a +1 on the fuego origen originals, really tasty and would never figure at first glance!!
