I found it to be more of a preference thing as long as your in between 65% and 70% RH you will be fine.
Edit: I keep my humidor at 67% 68% and I found that's what works for me

I wouldn't leave the lid open. Dry out some KL and add it. It'll absorb some of the RH and lower the overall %. It'll be more gentle and more controlled, but as effective.

Coolidor's nearly ready, got washed everyday last week. Hygrometer is just calibrating. Got Puck 65% beads in there and a load of empty cedar boxes I got from a UK retailer.

Hoping it should be ready to go in a couple of days max.

Anyone have interior dimensions for the xtreme 150qt? Or mind letting me know?
not for the 150qt but i just slid a bit farther down the slope and picked up a 120QT coleman xtreme 5. below the lip it measures 32 L x 12.5 W x 9 H above the lip it measures 33.5 L x 14.25 W x 4.75 H. Didn't look this big at Walmart doesn't fit where i was planning to put it, time to move some furniture around.

useable inside dimensions are 12x15x38 inches
This sounds more plausible than the dimensions I found - the measurements i found make up just over 100 quarts.
This doesn't account for the groves or door seat
True, but even your measurements only come out to just under 128 quarts. Take that 128 quarts and account for the grooves, door seat, and the fact that you did say "usable" dimensions and you're a lot closer to 150 than mine were.

I suppose I could get off of my lazy ass (ain't gonna happen but I like thinking I could) and measure mine

Damn. Thanks for taking those interior measurements for me. I got excited and kinda jumped the gun and picked these up not knowing. Local b&m sold em to me so I figured why not. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398117148.325894.jpg
Sticks there from a haul we got that day. Regardless. They're too big for the setup for sure lol.
