Been several years at least since I've had Woodford..
Reminded of exactly why this whiskey initially converted me into a lover of bourbon.
Jameson was my go to for a while until I first tried this.

I started out the exact same way. Woodford made me a convert to a Bourbon aficionado. Eagle Rare followed right after. I went into bourbon without any love for whiskey prior, just IPA’s & Syrah’s & Malbec’s.

Check the old bottle style (2015). My first bottle purchase. I still have it too.

Went looking for a 375 while on vacation in FL. Didn’t feel like paying $18 for a 375 of Maker’s so got this for $12. A FL product so not sure why it says Kentucky. Not horrible but got a smoky musty thing going on.

Cool that it's actually age-stated. Could be sourced from just about anywhere in KY, the profile sounds like Ezra, which is HH sourced.

It's my Saturday and my wife's spring break so we started early with a taste is something new.
This is a bit hot, but a few drops of water opened it up nicely. Amazing!

That's an awesome bottle. Some batches drink hotter than others. What's the proof? That's how you tell them apart. I recall a bottle of batch 8 that was hard to drink neat, weighing in at 129.5 proof...

Don't get me wrong, I'm in that same boat! Haha. Cracked this bottle and it's the last one I have. But it's for drinking right? Nothing off limits!
