  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm out on the deck about halfway through a 1926 Padron #6 and a glass of Dow's 10 year Tawny. The 26 is smooth and creamy but lacking any sort of complex taste. So far I prefer the 64's over the 26's.

Yes they are. I was expecting so much more. It didn't pick up any towards the end either. It was good but not great like I think the 64 is.

Sorry bro'!:sadstare: Hope you start feeling well soon. Just stay in that bed and rest up!

Decided to go with a PLPC as I've received a few from different folks lately. Had planned on a PSD4 or something larger, but got stuck at work so not as much time to smoke. Damn. I've never, until now, had a PLPC that really did anything for me...but WOW! This is one AWESOME SMOKE! Thanks go to Buckwheat for this particular one.
Would that have been a current release PLPC? Details, please!

Congrats on the 1 year! I have not had a cigar yet today, but sure plan on it. It is gorgeous out today here in NJ.

I think I may go to a couple B&Ms to see if they have some Opus in.

I'm in a truly rotten mood today. Bad karma at every turn. I had an ERdM Petit Robusto mid-day, which helped a bit. Tasty, smooth, and no young, grassy taste. We'll have to wait and see about tonight.

Was this a N/C or did you mean Petite Corona? Hmm???

At lunch I burned a pretty yummy Monte Edmundo that definately surprised me. I decided I needed another Monte in my regular rotation so I opened one of my boxes of these I've started to age and was blown away by how smooth these are when young. Definately a stinger when exhaled through the nose, but wasn't terribly tannic like most cigars are at only 4 months old! On my way home from work I went with a considerably more subtle smoke; RG Cigaretos. These might be my favorite Laguito #3 though I definately need to try more Cohiba Exquisitos. It's odd, every other one of these I smoke (back to the RGs) has some salty hints. I know larger vitolas of the marca are known for this, but never before have I noticed it in these. This is my first box, all the rest have just been singles so perhaps that's something to do with it.

Oops. That's the way my day has been. HdM Petit Robusto, not ERdM. I'm off to burn a VR Classico with a Fat Tire. The MC Edmundo is one that I have only tried once and have yet to get a full box to age.

I too have not smoked that many Edmundos but some of my more educated friends say that they don't feel these will age all too well. Aparently they lack the building blocks essential to a long-term blossoming cigar. My assumption though is that any cigar from after the period where the tobacco started being fermented at higher temps will all suffer in the long term for its short term smokeability. Though in 5 years these smokes may be heavenly. Perhaps 15 is a different story though.

On a seperate note, how are those Petit Robustos? I've never had one since I'm generally not a fan of large rings. I enjoy the occasional robusto but not too often. I just lament sucking on something that large. (Tripp, don't even try to bring this up)

Accept the PIF and find out! :help:

Seriously, I love the Epi2 and this is a little smoke that wants to be one but will never be. It is very satisfying though, with very nice med body spice and flavor. The more age the better and these could use a lot more. Based on my last cab, these are going to mature just fine!
