  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How was the Mag Geoff?
Very good ... a bit raw with some oooomph since it's ROTT (from Macau) but that's what a Mag46 is.

And even though you didn't ask the Flor de Cana was the 21 Year Old and terrific. Not something for a rum & coke - this is a cognac style rum - lots of caramel and just a little sweetness.

More importantly - they were a good combination.

Yeah, i didn't ask about the rum 'cause I am a wuss and don't drink liquor.
Todd, don't be so hard on yourself.

Your being a wuss has nothing to do with not drinking liquor.:bottle::rofl:

Just kidding - at least you're just smart enough not to wake up with a hangover

I gave a Cuaba Divino that Mark gifted me a shot on the way home tonight.

I didn't like it.

At first it tasted like a Quintero Club and only got slightly better before the end. I did give it a fair shot though...I smoked it as far as any other cigar.

Oh well. :dunno:

Geoffrie's choice yesterday made me want to give an '04 Mag 46 a shot today.

It was ok, there was a hint of the typical sweet tobacco but ovrall is was pretty bland. Oh well.
Like PSD#4s, I think the mag46s need to smoked fresh or after a good while. An '04 might be a tweener.

Tonight was a RyJ Hermose EL 2004 and a Ben Nevis.

It was definitely in a flat period.

I have two LLN Nov '03s lieing in wait...one will die a firey death soon enough.

These came from the same box that lfg2nrg (Thom) gifted me my first cuban from.

Had a '99 Partagas Lonsdale from Sir Wasch. Very good Todd! Makes me want to go out and buy some. It switched from cedar, to cream, to spice.

Today I went with an old reliable '01 JL #1. Great as usual. Brought a 1990 ERdM Demi Tasse for the ride home. The first one I had was spectacular...especially for it's size.

96 Monte Joyita. Yowsah! What a smoke. Overpowering flavor that was Monte to the 'nth degree. I lit it up on a nightime river walk by my house and ended up having to smoke it quicker than I would have liked because my feet got cold. Gosh I'm a woosie! Still lasted 40 minutes

Don't you know it's not nice to smoke and "review" a cigar you are splitting with another brother while they are in transit! :hysterica

I had three in fact. Started off with a PSD4 damn when these things are on they are the Schizzel!! Followed that up with a very spicey meatball in a Cohiba Piramide EL. Also very nice. My last smoke which I ended up pitching as it didn't burn right and just was how can I say this gently AWFUL!!! A HdM Petite Robusto. :frown: I was out with the group and enjoyed these at our hangout JR's.
