  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Well, I am pretty sure I'll smoke a habano before the end of the weekend and I know JW already has so I will post this here.

I smoked my first bowl of pipe tobacco this afternoon.
C&D #066 Star of the East thanks to Ted.

It was very good, actually better than I had anticipated, the flavour made me feel like I was being transported back to Old World England or something. It could have been the slightly foggy and wet overcast day we are having but dang it was nice. I can really get used to this!

What are you guys smoking this weekend?

A good friend of mine just got back form Cancun and brought with him some smokes for me to authenticate. I told him there were no reason to buy cigars when you're down there due to the abundance of fakes in Mexico but he did anyway. Last night I torched a 'Sig VI' from his journey and despite looking, feeling, smelling very real, it was definately fugazzi. No doubt Cuban Tobacco, but NO DOUBT not a siglo. Very harsh young flavors that had a hint of soapyness. Filler was all long and the cigar was definately H/M, but not worth buying 'em down there just to get a cigar with crappy cuban twang.
