BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
If Jerry bails on this we are gonna load our asses up in a couple of cars and road trip to Alabama which could be quite scary.....all us Yanks deep in the heart of Dixie.... Jerry would not be able to show his face around town anymore:smt075 :smt075

Trust me guys I know what I'm talking about I went down south to college. Though the true southerns considered my school a Northern College in the South. Atleast thats what a lot of North Carolinian's think about Duke. They say this cause Duke attracts alot of students from the NJ, NY, Ct. area. But if you can be good keep your mouth closed and not give away your northern accents ya'll sure can have alot of fun down there!! You sure speak the truth here brother...a lot of folks here in NC don't understand this...all I'll do is ask if they know anyone that went to or graduated from Duke....Duke graduates from North Carolina are far and few... as Chapel Hill graduate's abound in NC....Actually the founders of Duke, the Duke family were Yanks themselves and being a private school the cost is out of reach for most of us poor southerns....we don't care if you yanks come down for a visit as long as you leave and with empty pockets :smt046 :smt046ehdg said:
Hey sorry but the naming of the school is from the Duke family. They gave the school money (I forget how much) if they would change the the name from Trinity College to Duke. The school gladly accepted this donation even though the family made its fortune from Tobacco. In fact Duke was the second choice of the Duke Family. They originally made this offer to Rutgers but was turned down cause of how the money was made. So you can see that the Duke Family didn't found the school they just endowed and got naming rights to it.Bman said:
