I’m going to start reading classics. Books I was asked to read in high school/college but refused to because... I’m an idiot.

I’m starting with Treasure Island.
I've been doing the same thing. Really glad I am.
I absolutely love some of the classics now and I have a stack waiting to be read. The one that has surprised me the most is Les Miserable. That has become my favorite novel
Just finished Treasure Island and loved it. About to give Les Miserables a read.

Just started “I Heard You Paint Houses” about Frank Sheeran’s involvement in Jimmy Hoffa’s death
I read that last year on vacation. I found it enjoyable. I don’t know how much I believe the big reveal at the end. It’s certainly not the first version of that I’ve heard.

Love me some short stories and novellas the last few years.
Some amazingly good ones on a site you wouldn't expect.. Those by FinalStand and Dreamcloud are fantastic.

Bout to read this one again. Really fun story, gets totally nuts in the middle chapters (something this author has a tendency to do, but it's worth it) but has a great wrap up towards the end, with a scene and some tools that I have a feeling @K Williams will really enjoy.

Seriously, check it out, great story. You gun guys will really enjoy it too. @Prine @ApeSmokes @BrewinHooligan @CVAC085 @Jody @knw247 @redneck_toy @Old Smokey @bwhite220 @Opie
@Unpossible_1
@BigSkySmoke (you'll love it)
And Jason, I know it's not your normal high brow fare, but I think there's a lot about it you'll enjoy through the second part / "chapter" @VeLoRoK

Hahaha! No, seriously, just read it. I mean, yeah, I know.... but there's some great authors on there. Kind pulp fictiony, but good stuff. "the Gift" I think it's called is another really good one.
Granted, there's a lot of junk there, and even some of the good ones can be a bit over the top on the sex scenes at times, but there's some seriously talented and creative authors on there, it's free, so you're not out anything, and you can skip most of the worst by the ratings and reviews.
Thats a great one about a badass doing the right things despite questionable legality and pulling off some impressive shit in the process. It's fun.
Gotta read through at least the gangland shootout scene.... But the hotel rescue towards the end is badass too. IIRC

A picture is worth a thousand words. Porn stories are not worth a nudie pic.

Gah! This story is even better than I remember it being!
And not a single sex scene in the entire first part Ben! ;) There is a part where a low level thug gets his balls shot off through his asscrack while hunched over.

Read the first chapter of Ebb Tide, it’s not bad at all . I’m going to finish reading the other chapters. Thanks for tagging me on this. If you like this I bet you would like the Going Home series by author A. American. I’ve read the first 7 books a couple times. Books 8 and 9 came out last year but I haven’t got them yet but plan to in the very near future. There another ebook that you can get free, the name is “Lights Out” by author David Crawford. It’s a pretty long read, but well worth the time in my opinion. Take care.

I love that the notifications arn't showing all the time on the site now. The A. American books are very good, I enjoyed them thoroughly. I haven't read 8 or 9 yet, those are in the bookshelf, just need to actually have time to read them.

I'll check both out Jody. Lights out sounds familiar, but I'll have to look to be sure. I've read a lot of stuff in the cataclysmic aftermath genre...;) coming off a 3 day book bender right now, so I need to take a break. I have very little self control when it comes to good novels...
