Only buy a 50 count humidor to start off, seems like a lot of people are guilty of that. Waisting enought money on crap samplers and gurkhas on cigarbid that I could have bought a box of T52's.

Buying a desktop humidor instead of a cooler
Using cbid "10 cigars for $30, what a deal!"
Buying 5 packs rather than singles when first sampling new cigars.

When first starting out, buying the "Humidor & Premium Cigar Bundle" combo from Thompson Cigar.....AND giving them my phone number. Crappy humidor, crappier cigars and endless annoying phone calls. I almost gave up on cigars all together after that debacle.

Interesting how many people have good regrets "missed out on or didnt buy enough of something" versus people with bad regrets "bought something and it sucked"

Quite honestly I would say my biggest regret is not visiting the boards for several years. Missed to many new releases and LE. Now i'm playing catch-up.

When I started smoking cigars I had the opportunity to buy T-52 & #9 Pigs at my local B&M. I purchased 4 T-52 pigs and bombed out 2 of them. I smoked one and then wanted to get more and it is an impossible mission. I don't regret bombing them out, I regret not buying more when I had the opportunity.

Not keeping a few more singles of certain boxes for myself.
Smoking 08 09 boxes of CCs WAY to early in my collecting phase.
The standard wtf was I thinking box or 3 early on.

Biggest cigar regret- definitely not picking up a dress box of Tatuaje "The Face" that was still on the shelf last year while visiting a friend in Atlanta. Original price, unopened. My wallet thanked me, but my humidor was disappointed as soon as I left the store. I came back about two months later, and it was gone.

I see people regretting their 50 counts but i dig mine and kind of collect them. I guess ill go cooler or wineador or cabinet one day ... I do also regret smoking cc s way to early ...I thought I enjoyed them till I realized what they could've become

Mine was buying 4 Liga No.9s for $80 on CBid when I was new. I thought they were $5 each, not $20 each. It's not a huge mistake, but I've grown since then nevertheless.

I dont have any real regrets to speak of.. its all been part of the adventure/ride...

Ive bought a few things that I shouldnt have.. passed on a few things that I should have jumped in on.. always seem to "upgrade" my storage system one step below where I should have (run out of space too soon), etc..etc..

But its been fun... and all part of the learning process...

Its not really a regret.. but I do wish I had found this place a little sooner.. Ive been using forum boards since the late 1990's.. but never thought that there might be a cigar community out there that would be as active as this place.. I just happened to find BOTL on a whim while looking for something completely different (looking for information on wineadors... and found BOTL by accident on a google search)..

Glad I found it when I did though.. Ive had a lot of fun...
