Your Morning Routine

What's yours like?

Me, I am up between 6:30 and 7:00. Usually jump right into the shower, shave etc. Then its a cup of coffe, make breakfast, check email and watch the news. Get dressed and I am out of the house around 7:45 and into work around 8:15.

I get up between 5:30 and 6:00 (lately 6:00-6:15). Take a leak. Go downstairs and let the dog out so he can take a leak. Start coffee. Let the dog back in, along with the cat. Fix the cat's breakfast, give him an insulin shot and put him back outside to eat. Sit down with a cup of coffee, check email and late night BOTL posts while I watch the news. 'Nother cup of coffee. Shower, shave, s***, get dressed. Feed the parrot. Put laptop in briefcase. Put coffee in thermos and travel mug. Walk the dog. Out of the house between 7:30-7:40 to be at work at 8:00.

up at 5:30am, check my email, forums and read the news sites, at 5:45ish I read the newspaper, at 6 I'm in the shower and get dressed. out the door at 6:30 and in work for by 7. every monday - friday morning.

Up at 5:45, then a piss and next a shower. After some 100% whey, then coffee, and then I drink my coffee while browsing the forums. I eat breakfast around 6:30, get dressed, brush teeth, put in contacts, and out the door at 7:15.

7:30...crawl out of bed after hitting the snooze numerous times.
7:30-7:45...check email and get my BOTL fix.
7:45-8:15...shower, shave, and get dressed.
8:20...out the door.
8:25....arrive at work.

when I work days, I get up at 03:30 start the coffee, take a shower and get dressed. drink 3 cups of coffee while checking the web and email. leave to go to work at 04:15 and arrive at 0500.

I'm up by 6:40ish and have a cup of coffee, (the strong part of the still brewing pot) 6:50 in the shower, 6:59 getting dressed, 7:03 getting baby ready, 7:06 putting on shoes (me and daughter) 7:08 slam 2 cups of coffee, 7:10 brush teeth 7:13-7:15 leave. 7:20 babysitter, 7:22 work.

It's a fine line between finesse and luck.

Make fruit smoothie for me + my wife
We check the daily weather + traffic report on TV
We are both out the door by 7:00 (we carpool)
I drop her off at 7:25 ... I'm at work by 7:30

I love week day mornings.....here is how they normally go.

4:30 am: The paperboy hits the screen door with the newspaper.
4:31 am: I am wide awake. I contemplate murder.
4:42 am: I fall into a light sleep.
5:30 am: The neighbors dog goes apeshit, barking at the sunrise.
6:00 am: The girlfriend rolls over and hits me on the snout.
6:01 am: My snout hurts, and I am starting the "countown."
6:02 am: "T-minus 13 minutes and counting....."
6:15 am: The GF's cat starts his famous, "Ohe So La Mio!" rendition.
6:16 am: I start throwing dirty socks at the cat.
6:17 am: The cat gets hit with a dirty sweat sock and runs away, laughing.
6:19 am: The GF's Cocker Spaniel gets pissed off that the cat and barks.
6:20 am: The GF's Labrador gets upset by the barking and jumps on the bed.
6:21 am: The labrador tries to get comfortable and steps on my nuts.
6:21:13 am: The labrador gets smacked. Hard.
6:21:14 am: The labrador yelps and steps on "The Girls" Tits.
6:21:15 am: The girl apologizes to the labrador for yelling at her.
6:22 am: I have to get out of bed and let the dogs out.
6:24 am: I have to clean dog hair off of my body.
6:25 am: I consider having a scotch and soda.
6:30 am: I reconsider having a scotch and soda, 'cause I can't sleep.
7:00 am: The alarm clock goes off, and the GF tells me to hit snooze.
7:20 am: The GF wakes up refreshed and alert, ready to take on all things.
7:30 am: I ask the weather gods to send sunshine so I can go to work.
7:40 am: I ask God to smite the neighbors dog.
7:50 am: I ask God if I can smite the neighbors dog, and not get in trouble.
8:00 am: God has once again refused to give me a sign.
9:00 am: The GF heads off to work, cheerfull and well rested.
9:01 am: It starts to rain again. I wonder if I live in Washington state.
9:03 am: The dogs start to whine at the back door.
9:04 am: Sick of the dogs whining, I tell them to get out of the rain.
9:05 am: I wonder why dogs are not under the roof the covers the hot tub.
9:06 am: I wonder if the GF will be upset if I drown the dogs in the hot tub.
9:30 am: The coffe pot starts.
9:31 am: I wish I was working full time, 'cause I would be out of the house at 6:00 am!! and have a nice peacefull morning!@!!!

Up at 4 am leave at 4:30 for a 2 hour drive.
Work 6:30 - 5 pm
Drive 2 hours home
Go to be at 9 pm
Will probably be doing this for the next 11 months!

Up at 7AM, coffee is brewing in auto system, shower shave, dress, let the dog out, get and read the local paper, make omlettes for wife and I. Let dog in. Read Wall Street Journal. More coffee. Wander off towards work at 8:30. Maybe a cigar, depending on whether the sun is shinning on the ocean or not.

I honestly think they aim for them. My dog can't walk over me with out getting in a nut shot.

Up at 6 am and lie in bed for about 5 minutes to listen to whatever song is on the radio to wake me up. Get out of bed, gather clothes for the day and perform my trifecta of hygiene (shit, shower, shave). Look at the clock to see if I have time to make breakfast, normally not. Leave for work. Sit in the car for 40 minutes and battle traffic. Once I get to work - normally a half hour early - I check email, web comics, forums, make some yerba mate, and then prepare the office.
