• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Its not much, and @Dran shared it first! The wrapper is great to work with and looks nice but wasn't in my wheelhouse. I couldn't figure out a favorite blend with it so thought I'd send it to you, the Great Enabler, @BrewinHooligan !

Satisfying and yummy. The first one was made with leaf that had been moistened a week earlier and not rolled yet. It had some ammonia in it part way into smoking. Not a satisfying smoke. The second smoke of the day was with filler leaf that had not been moistened. The second one was paired with...

Made a random blend this evening as my earlier smoke was off target. This one was one Nicaraguan Condega ligero and one Dominican ligero, bound and wrapped with American CT shade. This one is on target.

I don't go through any of them to separate them but I am not production oriented on my sticks. I don't need consistency in my rolls, I actually appreciate the variation. While I used to log each blend so I could reproduce good ones, I've found that by the time I'm ready to reproduce something...

It was gifted to me, I can share. Besides, YOU are The Great Enabler that got this entire section of the board going. Its kind of like I owe you anyway.

I think it's great to work with. In your hands, it would make beautiful cigars. I also am enjoying the flavors but of course that's just me. Based on some of your blends, I'd guess you'd like it. Let's see if I can find that AZ addie I had stored a while back...

I'm no master blender but it seems the larger the rg, the cooler the smoke. The smaller the rg, the hotter the smoke. Just as hitting a cigar too fast changes the flavors(presumably because it needs to cool between draws), changing the diameter of the cigar will change the temperature and...

I've experimented with different ideas. Sometimes I've applied the seco similar to a binder, then the actual binder and wrapper. Usually not though. Most of the time its entubado filler, a binder, then wrapper.
