• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Review: AF 858 Rosado

Seeing nickgonzo's 858 Sungrown review reminded me of my recent experience with the 858 Rosado. What a striking difference....hope you enjoy the review and my apologies for the crappy cell phone pics. I was fortunate enough to pick up a few Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 858 Rosado's from a very...

    droid or android or..

The rumor is Verizon is deploying 4G networks next year and they plan to test the 4G iPhone next year. So rumors say you could see iPhone's on Verizon's network sometime next year. AT&T will be deploying 4G in 2011. Some European cities already have 4G networks in place. Battery life's overrated...

    droid or android or..

I'm curious if developers are going to build widgets for the Droid. It'll be a long time coming before anyone can match the iPhone OS. Pure simplicity when it coms to surfing the web or knowledge gathering via apps. The iPhone however is a terrible phone and it's on a terrible network, AT&T...

    Some suggestions

Goes without saying....buyer beware especially in the Carribbean. St. Martin does have a La Casa del Habano in Marigot I believe. That's the only place I'd consider buying anything. Keep in mind costs per stick will be high so budget accordingly. As far as recommendations, it seems you tend...

    Who got some?

Scored some yesterday on the way to the Eagles/Redskins game. Got to meet the guy that designed the spooky card for Pete. Nice guy to boot....anyhow I think I made out nicely. Will be willing to trade for a Frank :eyebrow:

    The "unlucky" 13 retailers

Werd Kevin! I'm on zero lists despite calling a few shops. I'll drive to the nearest store to see if I get lucky and nab a few. If not, so be it.

Swine Flu Consequence On Cigar Smoking

I got it and my wife's preganant. Talk about worst case scenario. They put her on Relenza but thank god she was able to stay with her parents so that reduced the odds of her contracting it from me That wasn't before she forced me into an ice bath since I had a 104.5 fever. Thank god she never...

    HdM Petit Robusto

I'm probably in the minority but the original release HdM PR's were fantastic I thought. Later specimens left much to be desired.

    Tat Frank weekend

All this talk about Tat Franks...I wonder if they're worth it seeing how I've never had one. Nice review by the way. The pics and the potjie look great!

    $90 For That Pizza, Please

These suites are catered more to corporate america where they'll just write off the expense. Hey, if the corporation goes bankrupt though, we'll just bail 'em out.

    Opus craziness!

That is a lot of Opi...if you like that kinda stuff. Not trying to start a flame war or anything but to someone like me who finds Opus overrated, it's a waste of money. Lots of equally good or better sticks at cheaper prices. To each his own...

1992 La Corona petite corona...oldest for me yet

One of the cheaper machine made cigars....interesting that you puked given their strength is rated at 2/5. Generally (but not always), cigars usually lose strength over the course of 17 years. Maybe '92 was a banner tobacco crop year or you're just having an off night. Try a La Corona freshie...

    Che Robusto

Great cigar and some of the models are in your face bold like the double corona. One of the few CC's that made me turn green.

Do you plan your smoking choices?

Interesting question....usually I head downstairs, open the door and look at the boxes. If something jumps out at me, I go with it. Other times it's a new box that I've been waiting to try. Otherwise if someone mentions good things about a particualr vitola, I go with that. Sometimes picking the...

Taste Test #6 PLPC OEB ABR 07

I got zero PLPC characteristics out of this....very, very interesting. I see at least one other person finds it somewhat bitter and another agrees this isn't a morning smoke. This particular box should be buried deep and let slumber for quite a few years. As an aside, the best PLPC I've ever...
