• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Beer O da day!

I'm the exact opposite of the spectrum from Larry on this one... I drank a bottle and my opinion was Belgian and RIS are two styles that have no business together in a brew. Individually, I love em' both....together.....one of the worst beers of 2011 for me. Right up there with the Sierra...

What Did You Get For Christmas???

Wife got me an Iphone 4S....and my 5 year old made what was easily one of my favorite, if not thee favorite for sentimental purposes.....which was a calender he'd crafted in Kindergarten where each month he'd used the outline of his hand to paint & make the shape of month appropropriate symbols...

    Beer O da day!

Affligem Noel earlier...which was excellent, and would definitely buy again. Classic Christmas Beer, and although it's been a while since I've had....reminded me of the Corsendonk Christmas Ale. Nice Christmas spice w/ a subtle fruitiness to it that was perfect, as it wasn't overdone. Now...

    Beer O da day!

Nice! Enjoy it Hayden....that 2010 is definitely ready to go. I'll be having my next try at that one here the night before New Years Eve. Got quite the Stout lineup for me and a good buddy of mine whose coming to town with his family....to include both the 2010 and 2011 Abyss. New Years Eve...

    Beer O da day!

My 1st go at the 2011 Deschutes Abyss... More ready from the get go than the 2010 was IMO. Way more balanced and complex than the oak aged YETI I had last night...but that's no dig on the YETI. This Abyss batch is legit.

Cohiba 1966 pix and short review

This doesn't sound like the kind of endorsement you'd expect from a cigar of this particular pricepoint....but if anything, it's pretty consistent with what I've seen thus far. No doubt, these will be around for at least a couple more years sitting on retailers shelves.

    Beer O da day!

21st Amendment Allies Win the War.. Certainly unique. Not sure where my opinion falls as a result just yet, but absolutely different than most everything I've been drinking lately, thats for sure.

Oak Aged Yeti... This stuff is not light on the oak, that's for sure. Very nice...

These look very similar in color to the box of 2008s I bought a while back. Was suprised to see they were so dark & oily. These are creamy, milk chocolate bars of a smoke.....1st couple I had still needed some more time, but don't think i've had a more "chocolate-like experience" w/ a cuban than...

So who wants to learn how to homebrew?

I was very close, and still might, to pulling the trigger on this... Then I started looking around the site, and wondered about the same question as you posted here Justin. What about something like this as opposed to the groupon deal for you guys who know what the eff you're...

    New Year's CIGAR Resolutions!

Absolutely this... Winter here sucks. If we got some decent snow fall, I'd actually welcome that. But cold/grey/wet for 5+ months really sucks any enjoyment out of smoking outdoors...and 90% of the time, that's where I'm smoking. All the more reason to focus on craft beer during winter...

I wouldn't call J Dub Red Scotch per se.....but the bright side is......if you love that......just wait til you give a Single Malt Scotch a try! :pokemyeye That said, I used to enjoy the Black. The Red is mix-worthy only IMO.

    Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale

If you see this stuff in the stores...buy it. Saw 3 cases at a store last weekend, and almost bought one...but said I'd come back next weekend as I still had a few 6 packs left. When I did go back today....all gone. Every market I've went to where I saw it in the past, has also been cleaned out...
