  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Got mine today as well. The lighters were differing styles. Seems they had the lighters separate from the displays. They just grabbed a handful of lighters and then an empty display box and threw them in a box for shipping...

One lighter was DOA..

Still, for the money paid, not bad
+1 exactly the same experience

1 of mine seems to be DOA, too. I won't know for sure til I get it home, bleed it, and try refilling it with Vector.

Yup, it was DOA. Bled it (nothing came out) and filled it. Then listened to the fuel leaking out from around the filler valve. Oh well, I guess that raises the cost from about $1.33 apiece to about $1.45.

Got mine on monday.

3 different styles but all fit into the the holder, not that I really need the holder/stand. I had the sticky stuff on it as well. I just soaked that side in some goo-off or was it krud-be-gone? Either way it came off pretty easy. Oh, and a few had a few scratches but they look fine.

All finishes are brushed metal except for one which is chromed

Styles:
Smooth
Vertical ribbed
horizontal ribbed

the chrome one might be DOA but I've gotta double check.

This "mixed bag" explains why the photo on the website DID look like either bad artwork, or three different lighters in the display.

Haven't got mine yet...But then again, we got NO mail yesterday (??? it was like 70 degrees!!!)

To everyone who offered to trade for a few lighters THANK YOU.

I believe I have it handled and have responded via PM to that person, I’m sorry not to respond via PM right away, but I just wanted to let everyone know. Of course the way I lose lighters, it might be a good idea to grab a few more. lol

I got mine and i have to say this has to be the WORST case of shipping i have ever seen. All 12 lighters and display were throw into a box and shipped. Nothing at all was included in the box, no packing materials nothing. All the lighters are beat to hell and a bunch of them have some sticky shit on em. I cant say id ever purchase from this company again. Im not sure how these lighters are going to hold up to lighting thicker cigars, we shall see. I will mess with em tomorrow.
x 2!!!

This is what they look like when they arrive!
LOL...Yup! Mine looked exactly like that!

If it wasn't such a great deal, I'd raise absolute HELL with them for literally dumping all this into a box with NO packing material! What a joke!

Thanks, though, to Aloha for the heads up...This was a stellar deal :)

they are supposed to some with three of each of the four styles, making twelve lighters total. However, I ordered a few of them (I wasn't kidding about eBad) and it didn't work out to three each. They were close, but I'm thinking they just threw that number of lighters in there; I have a few extra of some and I'm a few short of others. One case looked like someone made a feeble attempt at wrapping it in plastic wrap, but didn't do any good. Here's some pics of a jetlite display and the lighters. Looks like they are very similar to the jetlites. Mine are in pretty rough shape, going to take some work to get them in selling condition! I wonder if brasso will work :scratchhe

I can send you some, $17 (Shnoop's price) plus $10 shipping. I know it's a 58% markup with the shipping, but it's still half what they would have been online or at Wally World. We can also work out a trade if you'd like. Or if you just want a few that's cool too! Shoot me a PM with which ones you'd like

Available on pennywise for the next 21-1/2 hrs at $16.99 + $0.01 s/h = $17

http://www.pennywise.biz/index.php

Also, a number of people on another forum who paid shnoop with CC's are reporting seeing all kinds of high dollar fraudulent charges hit their cards. If you paid with CC, probably wise to keep a close eye on the account. Pennywise appears to be the same entity as shnoop, just a different URL & business name, so careful with the CC's
