if anyone is concerned about preserving the stems...

EDIT: link works for me, IDK, but it is a link to lowe's, for "Watts 3/8-in x 10-ft Latex Latex Hose", which is what i cut my possibly lifetime supply of pipe bits from.
Here you go javajunkie:

You're welcome. I need to check and see if it's available in black.

No, wait, wrong day...
BOTL pipe day!
BOTL pipe day!
These should be hitting everywhere but Yuma today.
Just a heads-up for any clenchers out there; Be careful! I think Cody has mastered the razor-thin stem! (would hate to see any bite-throughs)
This thing is just sexy...
Oh, Yuma hit today! I got it and it awesome! I will get some pics up later tonight if I can get Max (4yr old son, so basically a maniac) down to sleep.

One of the things I've found fascinating while following this thread from the very beginning is the design and build process. I have absolutely no clue how long it typically takes to design and build a pipe that's a one-off design, let alone a production model that you can replicate over and over. I would think that four months is pretty fast for that.

But, when you add in the fact that this was, to no small degree, "design by committee", I am in awe of how flawlessly this process went.
