I went heavy on hot sauces one time. Bought about 10 or so different varieties. Some way too hot, some too meek & mild. But, the best one I had (can't remember the name) is the bourbon barrel aged variety. OMG so good!
Shocker, you liking a hot sauce that's aged in BOURBON barrels.

I agree. Not as hot as expected. Made some of my own but included the Carolina Reaper as well as Naga Morich. It came out awesome, pure hell fire but awesome none the less.

These are my current favorites, The elixirs of pain were a gift from a friend who hopped on their Kickstarter, one of the 5 smashed in transit and I guess the guy is MIA right now :dunno:
The Blair's After Death anniversary is good and the Ultra death left a "macho" friend gasping for air and begging for a slice of bread haha.
Also for a quick wake me up, locally I can get bottles of St. Elmo's Steak House Cocktail sauce. The Crazy chilies and Horseradish will kick you in the pants and make you cry, but only for a couple seconds. Then you want more right away!

OK. I had to place an order for Sriracha hot sauce from MoHotta. I usually buy West Indian/Caribbean hot sauces or US equivalents(like Dave's Crazy Caribbean or Dave's Scotch Bonnet), but the majority of previous posts list the sriracha as a favorite.

I used to make my own hot sauce, which was slightly painful due to using Ghost, Habanero, Jalapeno, Serrano, and several other ingredients in an apartment kitchen.

All I can say now is that 1. ventilation is key, 2. my entire home smelled like hot peppers for weeks. Made me hungry all the dang time!
