People who use "literally" when something clearly isn't.

"I literally died laughing!"


And FWIW (initialism) some of you improperly made a reference to acronyms. Acronyms are pronounced as words, initialisms are just that, initials of a word, and are not pronounceable.

ATM (initialism)
VIN (acronym)
WTF (initialism)
SCUBA (acronym)

The misuse of the word "literally."
Most things that teens say I don't mind, if in casual conversation.
That being said, in my classroom they are only allowed to use formal language. I figure that even if they speak slang outside of school, the repetition of proper language in class will eventually work its magic!

the word "tadpole" combined with any of the following words or phrases:

"bomb"
"cigar bomb"
"MaW"
"NHIE"
"thow up/post a list"
"what is your address"
"PM me your address"
"anyone have tadpole's address?"
"tracking number"
"check your mailbox"
"ill send you some [xyz]"
"it's not a trap"
I may or may not use these.

When I talk to the guys at work, I say "...but the take home is this..." and get to the bottom line.

Does that sound annoying?
