I have one, I use it, I love it! I will not lie, it does not hold an edge as long as hand stone and honing. That said I use and I love it. I can sharpen my EDC back to razor in 3 min, razor last a day or so. Re sharpen once a month. I Hunt, fish and work. Use knife daily at work as well. Heavy use. Just saying

I'll keep that in mind, but I was thinking more like a 5er and my knife making a trip to someone lol
Here kit. Get one of these or something similar. It doesn't get much simpler. Just hold the knife straight up & down as if you were cutting something & pull it along the rods. The rods take care of the angle.

Ok I'll check those out too, the problem with my knife is it's not a \/ shaped edged, its shaped like this |/ I'll looks at options and see what I can come up with

My boot knife is just some Gerber, idk the model, it's alright though, I havent had to use it, and if I do, well its sharp enough to do the job I carry it for.
Either of the suggested sharpeners should sharpen that just as they would a regular blade.
