Do you see any value in having one right away to see if you should try to get another box from the same batch?
mmmmmm......it's too hard to evaluate any cigar after smoking them ROTT because of the warehousing they came from....might have been too humid or they may have been stored in conditions that I don't know about so I like to be one of those who control things. I have smoked cigars at various intervals and the best way to see how they smoke is to keep a journal and see for yourself how good/bad they are with some time on them. The reward is totally worth the wait because of 2 things...the tobacco will change and mature and our tastes will change as well over time. What you liked/loved at 6 months may/will change again. It's wise to buy in 5 paks just so that you aren't wasting money and time. Cigars are a hobby and hobbies are to be enjoyed and following your own tastes is what this hobby is about. Discovery is just an added bonus when you find a cigar that meets a years experience where it gets better and better and that's when I buy by the box.

I actually went out this morning and bought a small notebook and will start to keep notes on what i thought of the cigar and when i smoke it. Im not a daily smoker, maybe 2 a week.

I generally smoke one ROTT, although my last purchase (Feb) I bought multiple boxes and have not tried all of them yet. Right now my allergies are in overload so I am not smoking anything. Sucks...

I've got notes from 1998 and at times sounded like a complete a-hole and snob...thank God for maturity. It is still interesting how our tastes develop and what we thought way back when....use to hate CAO Brazilias and now I love them and my hypocrisy was duly noted when I discovered that my tastes really do/have changed. It's a good idea to revisit cigars we thought were crapola but I do that when I visit a good B&M that has stock that is older and I can taste the differences.

As a follow up with cigars that can be smoked ROTT....Custom Rolls....amazing taste and quality but if you let em marinate then they lose their magic. If ever around Custom Rolled cigars that have a Pedigree ( not the shops that employ some jackaroo to roll tobacco ) but a really good Manufacturer....you'll thank me later as you walk around in Nirvana thinking about the post you read on BOTL and that "guy" was right!

Send me some from those boxes....my services have always been free for evaluation...no need to thank me as I feel this is something I can do to help others.

You guys should name some of the “idiots”

Seems like you guys have strong feelings about them

The list is long and not distinguished but I wouldn't step into that pile of dog$hit...unless you paid in Cuban Cigars! Maybe you might put up your list of idiots and we'll compare?
