• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Perdomo - Habano vs. Lot 23

I definitely prefer the Maduro Habano. I haven't liked any of the Lot 23's that I've tasted. :dunno:

    Tupperdor problems...need help quick

You don't. Use that one for food and buy a new one for cigars.

    New La Aroma de Cuba?

Just had a Mi Amor that a buddy gave me. It was a very nice smoke. I will probably buy some more next time I'm at Holt's, but I wouldn't make a special trip just to get them.

Which spirit do you prefer with a cigar?

Ha! Coincidentally, I just had one last night with a La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor. Although I usually prefer darker beers, this was very nice.

    Xikar Lighters

The Executive has an astonishingly small fuel supply for a lighter of its size.

    Robusto or Toro?

For me, it's always a case of the bigger the better, except when time is a factor.

Stopping and saving one for later

To me, it seems it varies with the cigar. Generally, most cigars are never as good after they have sat unlit for a while. However, some relight quite well. In any event, I have found that it really helps to purge the cigar well just before you put it down and to cut off the burned end before...

    Pocket Pistols

Thanks. I know what you mean about the J-frame 38. I have one. But it seems these little 380's are a lot lighter and less bulky in the pocket.

    Pocket Pistols

Are the LCP and P238 what most of you folks consider the pocket pistols of choice? Or are their other contenders?

    I hate this cutter!

I'm normally a Colibri hater. However, I have a Colibri from Cigars International that works great. I think it's called the Slyce. It's yellow with the CI logo, and it will cut up to 64 RG. Does it cut as smoothly as my Palio? Nope. Doesn't cut as smoothly as my Xikar, either. But it cuts...

Which spirit do you prefer with a cigar?

You are absolutely right --- which is why I, personally, generally don't like the Islay single malts. However, you are right again: they go extremely well with cigars, and cigar time is the only time that I order an Islay. JMO, YMMV.

Which spirit do you prefer with a cigar?

I'm somewhat surprised, although I don't think the numbers are at the point where they are statistically meaningful. :bottle:

    Pipes v. Cigars

Actually, I never smoke flavored tobacco, but I still have that experience. :dunno:

    What's a good CHEAP lighter?

Despite my general contempt for Colibri lighters, the Firebird is actually quite decent. The key is to press the ignitor down slowly, so the gas has a chance to feed before the spark is triggered.

    New Cigar Accessory

What's the largest RG that will fit without getting squished?

    That makes two of us.

CAO La Traviata-I don't get it

    +1 And I sure hope it's better.

Which spirit do you prefer with a cigar?

Old Raj? That's a new one on me. I'll keep my eyes open for it. Is it priced about the same as Boodle's, Bombay Sapphire, etc.?

Which spirit do you prefer with a cigar?

Definitely give the Boodle's a shot (no pun intended :eyebrow:). I don't think you will be disappointed. Yes, I have tried Bluecoat. It's very nice, but more heavily citrus flavored than I prefer. I would definitely drink it if offered, but I wouldn't buy it. And yup, it's a local beverage...

Which spirit do you prefer with a cigar?

Ever try Boodle's? Most Bombay Sapphire drinkers that I know (including me) have a slight but definite preference for Boodle's, when you an find it.
