Once you get the hang of it (which will be quick) you'll have much less irritation than your cartridge razor, even less once you find your preferred blade (everyone is different)ATL I pay $40 for roughly 16 blades. My face gets irritated very easily which is why I have a beard most times but it's not very professional as I am an accountant.
Sean the Mach 5 has 5 blades and a single trimming blade. I see what you mean on less blades being less scary but I find the layout seems safer with the cartridges.
NC that takes roughly the same amount of time for my normal shave.
So big question is what do I need to get started on this adventure. Remember complete noob and don't tease I like new hobbies.
The above statement is as true as the statement, "two plus two equals 4."One you get the hang of it (which will be quick) you'll have much less irritation than your cartridge razor, even less once you find your preferred blade (everyone is different)ATL I pay $40 for roughly 16 blades. I found the learning curve to be WAY less than that of cigars. I was confident with my DE after the first week. Six months in to cigars and I still feel like I'm barely treading water!
Don't let the guys scare you, just do it. You'll wish you switched years ago. Plus it becomes another ritual, kind of a treat. Yup, another slippery slope!
I don't believe you because 2 plus 2 on BOTL is 6. Thank you - that makes perfect sense!
I believe it's a gimmick. I haven't noticed a cleaner shave from the 3 to 5 both worked good imo. if It didn't they would of discontinued the 3 long time agoGood read here guys... I still haven't pulled the trigger on changing my shave from the Mach 3 or 5 or whatever the hell it is... Someday.
Okay, one thing...Alright guys I am taking the big plunge and I have decided on the Parker 91R Super Heavyweight DE Safety Razor along with 100 Personna stainless steel blades PER-100. Tell me what you guys think and how is my direction looking.
Where is that?!Oh I can find a use for them. The 100 blames are on sale for 3.28 for the box lol.
There is a site from my area literally down the road classicedge.ca. I will check your site and take a look at what's going on there too lol. The site I'm on has some pretty good prices take a look.I just this week picked up my first DE razor and had my first shave today...Where are you ordering from Jmart?? I got my stuff from menessentials.ca out of Toronto initially. Started with a Merkur 33c and a few blade samplers. My mom grabbed me a sandalwood kit from Art of Shaving that I'm waiting to get my hands on when she gets back from Vegas
