At Casa this spring they told me that the "Forbidden" stuff was the same blend, but using aged tobaccos (I think he said 5-years, but I could be wrong). He said they were noticeably different than the regular Opus, and in his opinion also different from a regular Opus that had been aged.So my local didn't get any, and I'm salivating looking at the pics. If anyone wants to point me in the right direction, I would be eternally grateful :togetherl
Any word on the blend? Is it actually the Forbidden X blend (like the Cigar in a Bottle, 2004 Toro, etc?) or is it like the "Forbidden" stuff at Casa Fuente, that is just regular Opus in funny sizes and fancy clothes?
mistyped the destiny, it is 1980. and that is the damn box i bought, you think i would get it right!Anyone know the significance of the dates in the cigar names? 1912 and 2012 are pretty obvious. Is 1890 the birthdate of someone significant in the family? Is '57 Carlito's birth year?
Got an email from a retailer today. Said they have new rare opus:
Heart of the Bull
Keeper of the flame
Anyone know what these are?
And a box of Gods Whisper :rolling:You got a box of torch bearer? Grrrr
Clearly you didn't read any of this thread, but nice way to promote your shop......Could be from the Chateau de la Fuente Rare Estate Reserve. There were Only 500 boxes released & each box contains 22 of 16 different exclusive rare Opus X cigars. Not sure if the mixture of sizes are the same in all boxes. I work at House of Cigar Montecristo Lounge in Columbus Ohio (You may have seen us in "The Art of Lounging" in Cigar Aficionado). We are retailing ours as a unit for $1300.
That's a pretty accurate statement.Clearly you didn't read any of this thread, but nice way to promote your shop......
Did you try the Indy Cigar Bar? Maybe Corey got some.Could some please tell me where to get a hold of some of these smokes I would love to get some and I am located in indianapolis and don't stand a chance to get any around here.
