• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Best destination for CCs?

Lol. She's hesitant, but that's my first choice of course. Thanks for advice.

    Best destination for CCs?

So me and my fiance are trying to plan a trip to Mexico for the fall. We are considering Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, or Cozumel. In your opinions, what is the best destination for CCs in terms of cigar shops and cigar bars? Hoping some one has been to all three destinations, but any and all...

    Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, or Cabo?

So my fiance and I are trying to plan a trip to Mexico for the fall. We want to go to Mexico. Which is the best destination for a cigar smoker? Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, or Cabo San Lucas? Each place looks equally beautiful. But I'd like to go to the place with the best cigar selection! Lol! I'd...

    Today's Bourbon

Thanks, @Tennessee Dave! Just raised a toast to you for Weller Antique suggestion! Very good Bourbon. And you are right: each store I visited said the same thing. They get a case of ten bottles and each goes to ten best customers for that year as a thanks. But the clerk also agreed with your...

    Today's Bourbon

I'm not a hipster, and have no problem with hipsters--but why do they f***ing love Bourbon?!?!? Lol! They've made Bourbon fashionable again after 60 years of relative oblivion. It must have something to do with the whole 19th Century retro-style thing. :) I've also heard that the new wealthy...

    Had my 1st Scotch..disappointed

My experience was the same, but opposite. I started drinking Scotch with cigars and kept at it for 6 months, intermingling Rum neat and Vodka martinis occasionally. One afternoon at the Owl Cigar Bar in New Haven, Conn., I ordered a glass of Four Roses Small Batch to go with a Davidoff...

Just out of curiosity, since I'm a newb to the whole Bourbon world, how do you find Pappy Van Winkle Bourbons at a decent price? Everything here in California is $$$$$!

    Warranty Seal Unbroken.... but

That's physically impossible. The Warranty Seal is made of self-destruction plastic. If removed, it breaks into little fragments and cannot be re-sealed. There is also a Cubatobaco seal beneath the Warranty Seal, so if you run the tip of your finger over the seal, you should feel a slight...

    Thoughts on Dr. Joe Show?

I agree with you one hundred percent. Every once in a while, I check the comments section of the last video he posted on his Youtube channel for updates. A lot of his followers are starting to express the same concern that you have. I follow his show on Twitter too, and his activity went dead...

    Score! Or not. Boo.

Man, they're getting sophisticated. But the ring-gauge numbers are whack. The white square-pattern is awful. And the gilt embossing is terrible. The counterfeit market in Cuba is widespread, from what I've heard. It's like Costa Rica, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. A flood stream of fake...
