• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Cigar shops in Texas

Taboo cigars is right in that area, their sticks a worth a try for a decent price. As for Opus, I am sure they are all gone at any shops that had them at a decent price. If shops sell them for MSRP they disappear quick, so you have to be around when the boxes come in. I think alot of shops keep...

    Gurkha, Gurkha, Gurkha...

Lol, nice. I thought I liked the legend perfectos, but either the recent one's are not the same as the last few I had, or I lost my taste for them. Gurkha, RP, CAO...I just dont even try any of the new crap they put out anymore. However I always seem to end up with a couple somehow.

Robb Report Cigar of the Year

CA only smokes the first 1/4 of a cigar for their ratings also. Below is a quote from Gordon Mott I have said openly that we smoke between half an inch to an inch of each cigar. I've had manufacturers rake me over the coals for that fact, and for the fact that we don't "smoke a whole box"...

problem with humidity in wine cooler

Not to argue with Mitch, we all know he is knowledgeable, but IMHO never adjust your humidity by the temp you store your smokes at. Below is a brief quote "To help set the records straight, we're going to observe a fine treatise on the subject from The Cigar Smoker's FAQ. The section on...

    Props to the ECCJ!

I like the ECCJ, but when I ordered it they said I would recieve a free puck, but I never did, they did not respond to the e-mail I sent inquiring either. I am not sure I will order it again. Not that I need a free puck, but dont tell me you are sending one and don't.

What do you do with all the fake Cuban cigars you get?

Thats what I do. And I always let people know who give me fakes, sometimes you can tell they feel a little stupid, but I don't want them to be taken advantage of again.

    Compact 1911???

I have heard some compact 1911 have reliability problems, I would go with Kimber or Springfield, but I think they are both over $600. Glock 23 would be a better bet for under $600, IMHO.

this thread made me try one, looked like a corona gorda, I only thought it was ok. cubans don't age their tobacco too much before rolling, so they usually improve. Ncs usually use well aged tobacco so aging should not be as neccasary

    Opus X Hype

I think Opus are a good cigar for the price, if you compare Opus to other cigars in their price range, I think they are as good or better than many. The problem is finding them at MSRP. If you can get them at MSRP, they are a good smoke for the money and well worth it. Opus have a unique flavor...
