I listen to a lot of metal mostly stoner doom, sludge and black metal lately. Favorite metal band is either Electric Wizard or Corrupted. Not too much into hardcore but Bastard - Wind of Pain is probably the best hardcore album ever.

i don't normally read music review sites, because generally, they suck. I found a new one (to me) the other day though, and it's all about the hard rock/metal. Site is thenewreview.net. They review a lot of upcoming albums and include 3 clips from each album they review. Looks like a lot of good metal albums coming out in the upcoming months, including 36 crazyfists (released Tuesday), disturbed, 10 years, trapt, and a whole lot more.

AHHHH Neurosis!!! One of my favorite bands we got to play with(when I was in a band called Mayday), they had so much gear with them the 2 guitar players and bass player had to set up on the floor in front of the stage.

The Neurosis I remember seeing was way back when Pain of Mind was released.

Old Metal Head here. Started out on Iron Maiden and Judas Priest in high school. Also like Pantera, Sevendust, Slipknot, Soul Fly, Seplutra, Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, Ozzy, BLS. Also seen all of these in concert. It was funny to see Iron Maiden open for 38 Special!!

Clutch is a great band.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Japanese metal punk bands, like Zouo and G.I.S.M. There are a lot of good bands over there right now too, like G.A.T.E.S., System Fucker, and Parasite:

So for metal, I've gone to check out Old Sirenia, Tristania, Opeth, Slayer, Slipknot, Nile, Kittie, Nevermore. Did I mention Slayer?

Seen both Metallica and Megadeth, still a fan of both though last MEgadeth Album was best one in many years IMO, Dave needs to get off the political shit and get in touch with why he's angry.

Dream Theater and James Labrie along with Soil and Dethklok I crank frequently. If I'm writing it's heavy and loud. And angry. :p

I'm not into Emmure, but I saw them open for Hatebreed. The had one of the most insane live shows I've ever been at. I still say Hatebreed was better. But it was close.
