Pipe Gifts-Restore or Just Clean Them?

It depends, if you have a reamer, and follow proper procedures for cleaning I think it is fine to clean it up and disinfect. Make sure you look up the best way to clean them, it is not as simple as just pouring in everclear, but not difficult either. Be sure to ream them out properly.

Pdr old blend vs new blend

I have tried both, I would say the later blend is better. However I am not sure I have ever had an old PDR that burned right/at all. IMO neither are worth it. But I have never had a PDR I have liked, I have not tried the BOTL.

    xoom vs. ipad2 vs. others

I have an ipad, and had the opportunity to use a xoom for a week or so. I primarily use it for work, but have some personal stuff on it also. I am not a mac guy I prefer PCs, but I do use an iphone. I preferred the ipad. I see why people like the android OS, it is cool, and I would imagine you...

Do you taste grass in Cohiba?

I always think of grassy, as fresh tobacco, or that candela flavor, which I do not get. However there is that taste that I refer to as hay, some people call it barnyard, I think Cohibas have that flavor.

Places to smoke in Austin, Texas?

Not a lot of good places IMO, up north at Fume, or out west there is a place called the cigar room. The one down south called Habana House I like, but not really room to smoke. If you are bored and want to drive out to the country (about an hour outside of Austin) let me know and we can smoke a...

Opus X - Worth the price?

Great cigar, IMHO. If you get them at MSRP they are well worth it. Far better than all these LE Viaje, etc... that people pay about the same amount for(Again IMHO and at MSRP)

Your opinion on buying cigar futures.

Great idea. I think the only way it will really work going forward is if the price is right and the initial few releases really perform. My opinion on the recent futures offered is that the price is too high, especially with the perceived poor performance of the last release.

Padron Mex wrapper - I'm now a believer

As a rule of thumb, tobacco from Mexico sucks. I am sure there is some good stuff out of Mexico also, and if the wrapper Padron uses is from Mexico that helps prove it. Recently there has been some decent wrapper coming in from there, the mi amor is one example, but there is still a stigma...

CigaroCigar Set and Forget humidor for $349

While I see your point, it looks to me like they are just over charging for a converted small wine fridge. You could do the same yourself with a 28 bottle wine fridge for about the same price. And store twice the sticks.
